Here’s sketch of what the homepage image may soon become…

We’re thinking big for next year!

But we haven’t even started conversations yet with the city, our partners, or other parties involved. So who knows what’s going to happen next year?

What we do know is that 2026 showed us just how interested swimmers are in an urban open water swim that lands early in the summer. The race sold out easily, and it attracted people from a total of 9 states—not too shabby for a first run!

And that got us excited to think a little bigger about next year. What if we could:

• Offer an all-ages event?

• Allow fins in at least one race?

• Add a 2-mile distance + another bridge?

• Create a beach space for kids and families to enjoy the river’s edge?

• And is it possible to swim the 1 & 2 Mile races with a modified start to complete an uninterrupted 5K?

• How about a coffee cart and other food vendors?

For now, I’ll tell you that we expect the event to happen on the second weekend in June (11-13), so keep that slot open.
